Stereotypes.

April 21, 2006

Sterotypes stop people from doing things because "girls can't play sport" & "boys are stupid."
If people tell them these things enough they'll start believe it themselves.
It depends on the stereotype though. If it's a good stereotype then its fine. And might even make someone feel better?

Mindless Self Indulgence.
http://www.mindlessselfindulgence.com/
I like this website because it's made by MSI and they're my favorite band, because they are better than you. Their sound is unique, and I have never heard another band that sounds like them. They care about their fans and stay back after shows. A lot of their songs are funny and have lyrics like "I'll show you how official midgets jack me off."

Goldfinger
http://www.maverickrc.com/goldfinger/
Goldfinger are here because their one of my favorite bands. They care about animal rights and John is a vegan! Some of my favorite songs by them are "Stalker" "Just Like Heaven" and "Spokesman." When I first saw a pictuire of John Feldmann [their singer] I thought he looked like someone that was in a fire & had really bad burns. Yeaa. =]

The Distillers
http://www.thedistillers.com/
I chose the Distillers as my third link because their one of my favorite bands, and have been for ages. One of the reasons I love them is because of their singer, Brody Dalle. She's beautiful & talented & doesn't care what other people think.

Why I chose my song.

March 9, 2006

I chose Just Like Heaven by Goldfinger, because they’re one of my favorite bands, and I think its a very powerful song.
I don’t know.. Its just got a lot of emotion.
Its about two people [boy&girl] who are in love.
Then they lose their love.. And the boy blames it on himself.
And he still lvoes her.
[I think]
Yuhh. =]

Change poem.

I couldn’t hear anything
over my mother’s screaming
shouting & shouting
until she ran out of breath
until I couldn’t be bothered
listening anymore.
Shouting the same things
over & over

When she finally stopped screaming
I could hear my own heart beat
Pumping fast
Worried
she would start screaming again.

She told me
not to come home the next day
And I wasn’t welcome
If I was going to keep acting the way I did
I didn’t know how I was acting
I still don’t.

I wasn’t going to argue
There was no point.
I put everything I could
into my school bag
And waited for the morning.

That morning I left
And pretended
everything was normal
But it wasn’t
It was a new home
A new beginning.

Toasty.

February 23, 2006

Once upon a time, there was a toaster called Toasty. Toasty lived in Breadland. He was a pretty-boy toaster; and also the prince of Breadland
His parents were old, and dying so they wanted the prince to marry so he could be a King; but since Toasty was a pretty-boy he thought no one was good enough for him.

One day while Toasty was brushing his…metal, and flirting with his reflection his parents interrupted him.
“Toasty, we’re interrupting you,” said his Mum, Mrs Toast. So, he was interrupted. He didn’t know how to deal with that. So he went on a walk.
He kept walking until he was no longer in Breadland. He got lost…But he kept walking because his Mum really hurt his feelings. He found a big sign with neon lights that said “Bathroomland”. Whoa, he didn’t know how to deal with THAT either. He walked into Bathroomland it was very loud, until they noticed a toaster was in there land. It got really quiet and Toasty felt insecure. He kept walking though because he didn’t want to go back to a horrible place where people were interrupted.

He was walking for a long time until he found a tall building-type-thing, which was the sink. He threw his cord into the sink &used it as a rope. When he was there he saw the most beautiful thing he could ever imagine.

Her eyes glistened in the bathroom light, and her hair was a beautiful blue and white. She was in fact, a toothbrush.

Her name was Toothy. And Toasty was in love.

Toothy’s Dad, Mr Toothy, saw the way Toasty was looking at his daughter, and he told Toasty to stay away from Bathroomland. Or else he’ll chop his cord off.

He didn’t know how to deal with that.

He went back home, to Breadland. When he got there his parents asked him where he went. He told them about Toothy. And his parents said no. Toasty cried and cried for days and days, until he finally went back to Bathroomland. He and Toothy ran away together into Loungeroomland; which was a beautiful place where anybody could be with whoever they wanted. No discrimination there. There was TV’s and wooden spoons together in that place. Their parents never found out.

And they lived happily ever after…

The end.
